German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW) 

For almost 125 years, the VDW has been championing the interests of the industry it represents, cooperating or negotiating with our national government, with the authorities of the European Commission in Brussels, with other related industries and customer sectors, and with national or international organizations.

Apart from these tasks, the VDW is a modern and dynamic service unit working for the benefit of almost 300 member companies. Our activities range from standardization to joint research, from statistics and legal issues to the successful organization and implementation of trade fairs such as GrindingHub from 14 to 17 May 2024 in Stuttgart and EMO Hannover, the world's largest trade fair for metalworking, which will take place from 22 to 27 September 2025.
