Clamping Technology by Röhm:
New power chuck – strong, light and compact
As a new member of the DURO power chuck family, the new DURO-A power chuck supplements the DURO-A RC quick change power chuck which was presented last year. As a power champion with a constant clamping force for more than 500,000 cycles, up to 30% higher maximum clamping force, and with a weight reduction of 10%, it prevails over comparable power chucks. The constant clamping force ensures reliable clamping of the components and allows heavier workpieces to be machined. The chuck weight, which has been reduced by up to 10%, offloads the machine spindles and ensures that the maximum speed as well as braking of the complete system is achieved faster, which contributes to improved efficiency of the machine tool. In addition, the compact design of the DURO-A power chuck, with an improved interference contour as well as reduced overall height, ensures better accessibility of the driven tools.
